I feel broken inside. I don't like the people I call friends. I don't trust them. I'm not happy. But, they won't understand. Their much too wrapped up in their lives. Their own problems. The lies they're determined to keep living. I feel stuck, like nothing I do or say to them will turn out good for anyone. They're not friendships any longer, they're obligations. Sorry for burdening you with this, I had absolutely no place. I just needed to say it.

Don’t apologize; we all need outlets sometimes and I’m always here for venting and such, if anyone needs a listener.

I’m sorry you feel this way, because friends should make you happy and be people you can trust. There was a long stretch of time in my life where despite my incredible love for my friends, I still was not completely honest to them about my life, and by keeping things hidden from them about my personal life, it just all bottled up and I felt like I couldn’t really talk to anyone about things in my life. Then I just started being more open with them, and to be honest ever since then I’ve felt so much better. You need to be able to talk to them about how you feel and what you’re going through, honestly and sincerely. They may be wrapped up in their own problems, but if you look at it objectively, you are somewhat in the same position—you are wrapped up in your own, and that is why you feel the way you feel, as if you can’t talk to them or as if they are too focused on themselves. I’m not saying it’s bad to be wrapped up in your own thing, because it is good to explore and understand yourself and your own life, but at the same time the way you feel about them may be how they feel about you. Truly try and establish a deeper, more honest connection with them. Listen to them—I mean really listen to them—and they will listen to you. And if they don’t, then let them know that it isn’t fair. But you shouldn’t hold all the burden of your life; you should have people to go to in order to vent and let it all out.
